Meet Our Team

Welcome to Associates in Wellness where we promise to help you every step of the way on your weight loss journey. Each of us care about you and want to see you succeed.

Dr. Carlin Willett, DNP, APRN

Dr. Carlin Willett graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, specializing in Family Medicine. Raised with an early understanding of the science of obesity management, she developed a passion for helping patients achieve healthier lives. Her nearly decade-long career at the Medical University of South Carolina further reinforced the importance of addressing excess weight and its impact on overall health. Dr. Willett has earned an Obesity Medicine Certificate of Advanced Education through the Obesity Medicine Association and remains an active member of the organization. She also serves as President of the Upstate Obesity Alliance, a local organization dedicated to advancing awareness and education surrounding obesity and weight management. While she is not currently involved directly in research, Dr. Willett maintains close relationships with local research groups involved in ongoing weight-management studies, including research exploring emerging medications and future treatment options. She is passionate about staying current with advances in obesity medicine so that her patients can benefit from the most up-to-date information and approaches to care.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Dr. Willett spent nearly 10 years working at the Medical University of South Carolina in various intensive care units, with a particular focus on neuroscience. During her time in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, she was honored as Nurse of the Year in 2014. Throughout her academic and hospital career, she has received numerous additional accolades—although she claims most of them have been misplaced somewhere beneath the ever-growing pile of charts on her desk and insists she can no longer remember what they were.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Willett is recently married and shares her home with two dogs and two cats, all of whom she will enthusiastically tell you are perfect. She enjoys crafting and tends to develop a new creative obsession every few months; her current fixation is needlepoint. She loves playing card games with her family, traveling internationally, and playing Pokémon GO, which combines two of her favorite things: exploring and getting exercise.

Dr. Willett also enjoys yoga and searching for new recipes to try—often with her family and staff serving as her willing (and occasionally unwilling) taste-testers. Above all, she brings a genuine passion for medicine, a love of learning, and a healthy dose of humor to everything she does.

Anastasia - Practice Manager

Anastasia serves as the Practice Manager and brings 15 years of management experience to her role. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a degree in Business Administration and enjoys using her experience to support the office team, keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, and help create a welcoming experience for the patients they serve.

Outside of the office, Anastasia is married and shares her home with her very naughty—and extremely nosy—dog, Peeves. True to his name, Peeves keeps life entertaining and firmly believes that every bag that comes through the door belongs to him and must be thoroughly inspected. His main mission? Finding out if there’s a new toy inside for him! When she’s not at work, Anastasia enjoys watching movies, getting lost in a good book, and traveling overseas. She especially loves exploring destinations rich in ancient history and discovering the stories, cultures, and places that have stood the test of time.

Kim - Front Desk Attendant

If you’ve been to our office, chances are you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Kim! She has been a familiar and welcoming face at our front desk since 2003. With more than two decades as part of our office family, Kim brings a friendly smile, a caring heart, and plenty of experience to everything she does. She loves getting to know our patients and helping make everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome.

Away from the office, Kim enjoys life with her husband, their three children, and five grandchildren. Her family keeps her busy and her heart full! She is also the proud owner of one very spoiled dog who undoubtedly believes they run the household. When Kim gets some time to herself, you’ll most likely find her enjoying the beach or working on one of her latest crafting projects. Whether she’s welcoming patients at the front desk or enjoying time with her family, Kim brings warmth and personality wherever she goes.

Kelly - Certified Medical Assistant

For the past five years, Kelly has been an energetic and dependable part of our team, working in both the clinical and business office areas. She is always on the go and ready to jump in wherever she is needed, making her an important part of keeping our office running smoothly.

Kelly is a Certified Medical Assistant and holds two Associate Degrees, one in Criminal Justice and the other in Paralegal Studies. Her unique educational background, along with her versatility and dedication, brings a valuable perspective to our team.

Outside of the office, Kelly’s life is just as busy! She is married and a proud mom of two—a handsome son who is preparing to graduate high school and a spirited toddler who is never shy about sharing exactly what’s on her mind. At home, Kelly also has four dogs and a cat, all of whom are equally spoiled. Between family, pets, and the everyday adventures of life, Kelly always has plenty to keep her smiling!

Meet Our Founders

Associates in Wellness started more than 30 years ago by Dr. David P. Willett and Becky Willett, RN, RRT.

Dr. David P. Willett graduated from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. He went on to complete a three-year residency in Family Medicine through the Self Regional Healthcare Family Medicine Program in Greenwood, South Carolina.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Willett proudly owned and operated Associates in Wellness, building lasting relationships with generations of patients and becoming a trusted part of the community. Eventually, he passed the reins of the practice to his daughter, Dr. Carlin Willett. However, unable to fully step away from his lifelong passion for medicine, Dr. David continues to practice part-time as the practice’s collaborating physician.

Dr. Willett is also a proud United States Army veteran. Outside of medicine, he enjoys painting and spending time at the beach with his wife of more than 40 years, Rebecca “Becky” Willett. His dedication to medicine, his patients, and his family continues to be an important part of the story of Associates in Wellness.

Rebecca “Becky” Willett is the true matriarch of both the Willett family and Associates in Wellness. Although she jokingly considers herself “part-time retired” these days, anyone who knows Becky knows that she will probably never truly retire!

Becky is a graduate of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, where she earned her degree in Nursing. She also holds a certification as a Respiratory Therapist, bringing a unique depth of knowledge and experience to her many years in healthcare.

For decades, Becky has been an integral part of the practice. Her energy, dedication, and unmistakable presence can still be felt throughout the office—often as she is running up and down the halls making sure everything and everyone is taken care of. It is safe to say that Associates in Wellness simply would not be the same without her.

Outside of the practice, Becky enjoys spending her free time at the beach with her husband, Dr. David P. Willett. Her devotion to her family, her patients, and the practice has made her an invaluable part of the Willett family legacy.
